WLCTis sustainedbyacombinationofexternalfundingandincome generation, includingacommunityservicefeefromWiganCouncil £ 16.9min2008/ 09. Morethan£ 15.1mwasgeneratedfrom admissionfees, contractincomeandexternalfundingin2008/ 09. TheTrustisalsoasocialenterprise, meaninganysurplus generatedisinvestedinimprovingfacilitiesandservicesforthe peopleofWiganBorough. TheTrust'sactivitiescoverabroadrange ofculturalandleisurepursuits. Atradingarmexistsforservicesthat aredeemednotcharitable. Thesearethecateringservicesat Haigh, LeisureVenuesandGreenspacesService. Eachoftheseis partofWiganLeisureandCultureEnterpriseLtd.
